Standing with a Bit of Assistance
Ben likes standing if he's holding on to something (and if Mom or Dad is nearby to catch him when his strong, chubby legs finally get tired). Here he is proudly standing in his crib, in a very cheerful mood upon awaking from a nap.

I think what he is doing is called "oversmiling", when the smile actually wraps around the face from overstretching or overemoting. Regardless, it is cute.
Just an FYI on the "mom" side. You guys need to lower his crib (you may have already done so). If he can stand up in it, it needs to be dropped all the way down so he doesn't topple over the side...pulled down by the weight of his HUGE smile and general girth.
