This past weekend Ben's Cousin Sophie, Aunt Kathryn, and Uncle Will came to visit. Ben went on two outings. On Saturday after a morning walk, we ended up in our neighborhood park just as an unexpectedly fabulous children's festival was beginning. Highlights included lots of tasty food, a children's concert, balloon animals, jugglers, and face painting. Sophie rode a pony and jumped in a "bouncy thing."
On Sunday afternoon we drove out to Lake Sebago and met our friends Jason and Amber to go apple picking. We wandered around the hillside groves and sampled crispy Cortlands, Jonagolds, Macintoshes, Macown, and Red Delicious apples, then had a pie on Sunday evening.
Ben mostly napped. Which is better than crying.
